The museum is today located at the original site of the former porcelain factory in Mitterteich. In the foundry once used for plaster mould, you can witness how the “white gold” is produced with the help of historical machines and materials. Mitterteich has, however, also made a name for itself as glass-producing town. Older and younger visitors alike will be thrilled by the impressive pieces from the SCHOTT AG production. Traditional crafts such as weaving, shoemaking, woodcarving of nativity scenes - and last but not least the so called “Zoigl” brewery, which is still extremely popular today, will tell you about more than 800 years of town history.
